Special education centre

The aim of my master's project is to design a new building of a Special education centre with nearly zero energy consumption. The project consists of three main parts. The building is designed with a green flat roof with a load-bearing part formed by prestressed ceiling panels. The load-bearing wall masonry consists of ceramic blocks with stone wool insulation panels with longitudinal fibres. The building is divided into two main parts connected by a connecting entrance hall. First department is used mainly for therapy rooms and the other department for the offices of special pedagogical staff. The building also contains photovoltaic panels, air-handling units with heat recovery and a rainwater storage reservoir with the possibility of using rainwater for flushing. The next part of the master's project deals with the assessment of the life cycle of the structure (LCA), where the subject of assessment are various types of floor structures.
Support Measures in the Education of Pupils with Special educational Needs

The diploma thesis covers the procedural aspects of the provision of support measures of levels II-V at primary schools in the Žďár nad Sázavou district. It also explores the practical aspects and the support that teachers receive from school counselling centres in order to apply the support measures in accordance with the issued recommendations. The three research questions are: How do the educators evaluate the support provided by school counselling centres? What are the perceived challenges and opportunities for improvement for the educators when working with the school counselling centres? What form of cooperation with the school counselling centres would be most helpful for the educators when implementing the support measures in school? The thesis is divided into two chapters. The first chapter deals with the theoretical background of the thesis. It defines the concepts of younger school age, support measures of levels II-V, pupils with special educational needs, school counselling centres and school counselling facilities. The second chapter is focused on the description of the results of the qualitative research conducted by the author of the thesis. Attitudes of primary school teachers to inclusive education of children with mental disabilities

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of inclusive education of pupils with mental disabilities. The aim of the thesis is to find out what attitudes are occupied by primary school teachers and teachers of basic schools that are practical for the inclusive education of pupils with mental disabilities. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on providing basic information about people with mental disabilities, the possibilities of their education and the interpretation of the concepts of integration and inclusion. Further, there is legislation on the education of pupils with special educational needs and a system of counseling services provided in schools and school counseling facilities. The practical part contains information acquired through the method of interview, whose aim is to find out the opinions and attitudes of teachers of basic schools and teachers of elementary schools that are practical for the inclusive education of pupils with mental disabilities.
Role of a special educational centre in training teachers to educate children and pupils vith autism spectrum disorder

The basic theme of this work is characterization of the role of Special Educational Centre in the training of teaching staff educating pupils and children with autism spectrum disorder. Theoretical knowledge in the field of autism and education of individuals with disabilities is compared with the content of specific educational seminars and with questionnaire survey from its participants. The analysis of the survey documents and reflects the needs of teachers and it is the basis for the workshop design optimization as well. The result of the presented work emphasizes the need to professionally educate teachers in the field of autism.
Activities of a Special Education Centre for Pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorders

This thesis focuses on the activities of the Special Education Centre, as provided to parents of children and pupils with autistic spectrum disorders in the region of Cheb, Czech Republic. The theoretical part summarizes - using the specialized literature available - basic information on the issue of autism, its complex assessment and diagnosing, and special education care with focus on the same. It specifies the forms of consulting services in the Czech Republic and the special education centre's services aimed at pupils with autistic spectrum disorders. The research part of the thesis contains the characteristics of the examined array and using a specific questionnaire, it collects information on the satisfaction of parents of pupils with autistic spectrum disorders with the special education centre's offer of services. It also analyses the degree of implementation of the individual strategies and maps out the possibilities of expanding the offer of special education care.
Methodological cooperation of school counseling facilities in Mlada Boleslav with basic schools in which the pupils with special needs are integrated individually

The bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of the role of school counseling facilities and their cooperation with primary schools in the integration of disadvantaged pupils into regular classes, especially in connection with the creation and adjustments of an individual education plan for these pupils. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the necessary supportive measures and content of consulting services for the education of pupils with special educational needs, benefits and content of activities of school counseling facilities. The theoretical part has been elaborated based on the study of scholarly literature. The practical part is devoted to a research aimed at finding forms and efficiency of cooperation of counseling facilities with primary schools integrating pupils with disabilities in Mlada Boleslav.
